Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient care providing
both facility-based and home-based therapies, is seeking a skilled
Respiratory Therapist on a PRN (pro re nata) basis, to join our
dedicated team. This role involves assessing, treating, and caring
for patients with breathing disorders or cardiovascular problems,
at times managing life-threatening emergencies. With our network of
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies, your
expertise will support and advance our mission of providing
high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. Evaluate and treat
patients with heart and lung complications. Recommend and implement
therapeutic procedures for better patient comfort and health.
Maintain patient records and communicate patient status to
appropriate healthcare teams. Administer medications and
treatments, following stringent safety guidelines. Educate patients
and families on managing illnesses and diseases. Assist in
rehabilitation and recovery processes. Profound knowledge of
respiratory care therapy and emergency care. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to work in high-stress
environments. Competency with the use of respiratory therapy
equipment. Ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified
Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT) required. CPR/BLS certified.
