Job Description:
The Workforce Strategy Specialist will lead the development and
implementation of consistent job titles, descriptions, and
progression paths in collaboration with HR, Operations, and site
leadership. This individual will work closely with teams across all
Fiber Glass System sites, helping build a more transparent and
scalable structure that supports employee growth and organizational
alignment. This role plays a critical part in enabling career
growth, increasing retention, and aligning talent development with
operational needs.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR, Operations leaders, and site management to
gather current job descriptions, role expectations, and progression
metrics across FGS locations.
- Develop and implement a standardized structure for job titles
and descriptions, ensuring alignment across facilities and pay
grid.
- Create and maintain a centralized database or repository for
job documentation.
- Design clear progression criteria for each job name, including
skill requirements, experience thresholds, and competency
milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standardized
metrics for evaluating employee readiness for progression.
- Develop a competency evaluation framework tied to training and
performance expectations.
- Lead training sessions for site leadership on the new job
structure and progression metric program.
- Manage project timelines and cross-site collaboration efforts
to ensure timely rollouts.
- Facilitate working sessions and resolve discrepancies across
locations to align stakeholders.
- Supports change management efforts to ensure successful
adoption of the new system across the business.
- Provide regular updates on project milestones and gather
feedback to inform ongoing adjustments.
- Evaluate opportunities to integrate the framework into training
and development systems for long-term sustainability.
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to refine job
frameworks and progression models based on business feedback and
evolving operational needs.
- Remain flexible to support related organizational development
or training initiatives as needed.
- Occasional travel less than 10% to FGS facilitiesEducation &
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development,
or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of proven experience leading cross-functional
projects related to job architecture, training, or organizational
design-ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both frontline
teams and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic
manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with performance management or training systems is
a plus.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage
competing priorities.
- Experience driving changes across multiple business units or
facilities.Job Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to
stand or walk.
- Factory environment includes exposure to varying temperatures,
noise levels, and the use of personal protective equipment
(PPE).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and
PowerPoint.
- Experience with document management systems or HRIS
platforms.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with competency models or career frameworks is a
plus.
