Strive Team!*JOB DUTIES** Assess home health pediatric patient for
rehabilitative and functional status.* Regularly re-evaluate the
patients/clients occupational therapy need and evaluate the
outcomes of care on a regular basis.* Occupational Therapist
develops, initiates, and revises the plan of care as necessary to
ensure quality and continuity of care.* Identifies deficits
including but not limited to strength, fine motor coordination,
sensory dysfunction, motor planning and self-care, including
feeding and the potential for intervention. Evaluates the home
environment.* Occupational Therapist evaluates the need for and
recommends DME devices and aides.* Uses infection control measures
that protect both the staff and the patient (OSHA).* Coordinates
services. Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in
the patient's/clients condition and needs.* Occupational Therapist
demonstrates commitment and professional growth by participating in
in-service programs and maintaining or improving competency.*
Supervises, teaches, and provides clinical direction to other
occupational therapy personnel as required or requested.* Promote
Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of
care.* Occupational Therapist provides effective communication to
patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other
health care professionals.*QUALIFICATIONS** Graduate of an
accredited Diploma, with Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree*
One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric
clinical care setting preferred* Pediatric Home health experience
preferred* Reliable transportation* Current Texas State license as
an Occupational Therapist* Current Drivers License*Additional Perks
