You may upload these documents on the application under CV/Resume.Position Details: Occasional work beyond regular business hours for meetings concerning students and with student groups.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceThree years experience in student affairs work or related specialty area, with two years of experience in Student AffairsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with othersOral and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in student affairs, counseling, or related fieldKnowledge of student development theoryResponsibilities:Primary Responsibility - Provides professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs, activities, and/or services, utilizing maximum campus and community resources and opportunities. Serves as the primary advisor for two committees of the Memorial Student Center. Staff member works on all aspects of programs including, but not limited to, program planning, budgeting, contract negotiation, coordination of scheduling facilities, operations, evaluation, and assessment. In collaboration with the MarComm representative assigned to the Division of Student Affairs, assists with marketing and market research. Educates students to fulfill their responsibilities in the following areas: program conceptualization, promotion, production, evaluation, personnel selection, training, motivation, management, fiscal accountability, contracts, interpersonal and leadership skill development, goal setting, decision making, and a variety of other concerns impacting their ability to function successfully in the University community. Assists in fund allocation planning and fundraising. Establishes and maintains essential communication with both educational and non-educational agencies and individuals. Refers students to professional resources if appropriate. Ensures that programs and activities produced in the name of the Memorial Student Center contribute to the role and scope of the University and reflect positively on its image. Ensures that all applicable University rules, policies and procedures are communicated to Committees, and individual student committee/members. Ensures that policies and procedures are understood and followed in the course of producing programs and services on behalf of the Memorial Student Center. Works to provide students an opportunity for personal, leadership and managerial skills development through the production of programs. Provides professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs, activities, and/or services, maximizing campus and community resources. Responsible for determining educational, social entertainment, and physical student needs. Responsible for creating, administering, and evaluating various student affairs programs and activities which contribute to the learning environment and overall quality of student life. Serves as lead staff for MSC OPEN HOUSE. Works with University Marketing and Communications liaison to produce MSC OPEN HOUSE. Conducts research for program planning. Plans publicity campaigns.Administration - Participates in MSC organizational meetings. Serves as Secondary Program Assembly Advisor by reviewing program proposals and meeting with MSC Officers as needed for the program approval process. Submits monthly reports and year-end evaluations. Maintains comprehensive files and records. Understands and utilizes fund account and events management systems to initiate timely tracking for committee functioning. Serves as a liaison with appropriate university staff and serves on committees as needed. Adheres to University policy and procedures. Works collaboratively with Administrative Staff. May attend or present at local/regional conferences and campus student organizational meetings. May be called upon to serve in various Division of Student Affairs programs and/or University task forces that relate to issues concerning students. Pursues opportunities for professional growth and development that will further enhance ability to perform aforementioned duties. Supports opportunities for growth and cohesiveness of communities directly served through performance of said duties.
