This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, TCEQ, etc.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMust be able or willing to learn to operate other mobile equipment, including haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader, excavator, and dozer.Follow safety rules, regulations and procedures set forth by MSHA/OSHA and Alleyton policies.Safely perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, complete daily equipment reports and report unsafe equipment to supervisor or foreman.Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively operate equipment at all times.Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment.Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs when needed. Perform preventative maintenance.Cross train on other positions in the plant in order to serve as a relief to other operators.Demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and works as a team player.Ability to work in a confined area with other heavy equipment and ground personnel while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards of operation.Must be able to work on pipeline in the cold and the heat climatesDredge Operator requires many tasks greasing, maintain good housekeeping, perform pump jobsMust be able to trouble shoot problemsPerforms other related duties as may be assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functionsEducation and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Prior experience in safe operation of heavy mobile equipment or in the aggregates industry preferred. General maintenance abilities are required. Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements.Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be able to perform work around water when required.Must wear a life jacket when required.This position will be considered for night shift roles, if they become available.
