Summary: The HCHB System Specialist is responsible for supporting
all of Traditions Healths companies on HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB).
The HCHB System Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on
HCHB processes and acts as a liaison between the companys HCHB end
users and HCHB.
Education:Bachelor's degree preferredExperience: Extensive
knowledge and experience in HCHB back office workflow processes is
required and familiarity of PointCare documentation and mobile
device usage is preferred. 3 years of Home Health/Hospice
experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to read and write in English and follow
instruction
The employee should possess knowledge in computer systemsMust
effectively communicate in writing and verbally across all levels
of personnel
Extensive experience with the HCHB EMR system
Strong critical thinking skills and judgement to understand the
risks and downstream impact of a change within HCHB Professional
demeanor, self-motivated, dependable, and organized
Must be confident in presentational skills and able to address
groups of various sizes as well as train individually in a
one-on-one setting.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto
insurance.
Travel: This is a remote position and would not require travel.
Environmental and Working Conditions: Works in a variety of
settings and office environments, promoting functioning and
coordination with all agency activities to insure the highest level
of professional care. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Physical and Mental Effort: Must be able to work under stressful
conditions and time constraints of the agency or projects. Work
requires sitting for long periods of time; bending and stretching
for files and office supplies. May occasionally require lifting
files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
Essential Functions: Effectively demonstrates the mission, vision
and values of the agency on a daily basis. Provide day-to-day
leadership and management to the agency that mirrors the missions
and core values of the company.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ways to optimize HCHB such as
workflow, documentation and processes
Under the direction of approving departments, implement changes and
improvements within HCHB which can include changes to clinical
forms, pathways, workflow, service codes, table setup, integration,
etc.
Adhere to the companys change management policies and procedures
for all HCHB changesFacilitate and coordinate education and
communication on HCHB releases and system changes. Escalate issues
to HCHB directly where applicable. Monitor resolution of submitted
tickets and communicate the resolution to the appropriate
party.
Provide training and education on functionality of HCHB and
PointCareServe as primary support contact for HCHB users. Provide
support and timely resolution to HCHB issues. Process
HCHB/PointCare incidents and service request
Support various audit initiatives to include user access, HIPAA
security, etc. Provide on-going education, problem resolution and
relationship strengthening on a recurring basis to all
locations
Foster a positive working relationship with functional teams such
clinical, quality assurance, human resources and operations
Troubleshoot system issuesCollaborate and communicate with the
companys management team on changes and initiates that may impact
ticket volume
Participate on-call rotation to facilitate 24/7 support coverage
for our end users. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor Equal
