The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applicants for a full-time Lab Instructor. This is a non-tenure track position with 100% teaching responsibility. The estimated start date is January 11, 2021 with a 4.5 months academic appointment with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be required to plan experiments, coordinate virtual recitations and meetings, order supplies, present pre-lab lectures, assure proper safety procedures are followed, grade lab notebooks and lab reports, and assigning final grades. As Lab Instructor you will be involved in training and supervision of teaching assistants.

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or molecular genetics. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with online teaching web portals are required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Ability to function in an interdisciplinary program involving faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. Computer and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
