A division of LEO A DALY, an international architecture/engineering firm, LAN has access to the expertise of nearly 800 professionals in 31 offices across the country.LAN is looking for a Project Controls Specialist to service our valued clients throughout the nation for our Program Management services.'We believe everything we do is for the enrichment of the human experience.'Working with the Corporate leadership, and in cooperation with local guidance from the Program Manager and Project Managers, provide the following services to the Owner:Prepare program-wide budget, based on Program Manager and Project Manager inputEvaluate planned cost Vs. Committed Cost Vs. Cost to Date to identify potential cost riskEnter changes to cost tracking to reflect approved changes from Project ManagerWork with Owner accounting personnel to establish accounting codes, payment procedures, and reconciliation processes, including coding of costs to appropriate funding sources.Prepare regular distribution of Master Project Budget statusMonitor Established Baseline Budget and support the control of design and construction changes that impact budget (Budget Control)Knowledge of Federal Project Cost Reporting and monitoringCoordinate and review the construction estimatesProject Schedule ControlPrepare master project schedule, cost and resource loaded if required by project Update project schedule completion status based on input from Project Managers as well as contractor and sub-consultant schedule updates as appropriate.Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delayPrepare regular distribution of Master Project Budget statusPrepare Monthly Status Reports (Schedule, Cost etc.)Review and provide comments on Contractor or sub-consultant schedules and schedule updates.Develop recovery plan and recommend solution to Schedule delay and cost impactProject Document ControlMaintain Project Controls SoftwareFile advertisements and solicitationsRecord bid tabulations, scoring and other selection activitiesLog and organize project transactions such as, addenda, submittals, change proposals, supplemental instructions, etc.Control Document revisions, i.e. drawings, reports, specificationsPrepare Configuration Management Plan, track and manage project changes to include impacts to cost and schedule.Assist the Program Manager and Project Managers with the production of and regular distribution of:Meeting agendasAction LogsClose-out document checklistWeekly status reportProject Integration ManagementProvide input to areas within span of control within the Project Management Plan, including description of the means for handling all documentation. Maintain plan.Prepare and maintain Project Risk RegisterIdentify appropriate project management software tools and techniques to enhance the performance of the projectPrepare change control methodologyParticipate in review of and updates to best practices to ensure consistency and rigor in standard operating proceduresOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Must possess a Bachelor degree or higherStrong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling programsStrong knowledge of Program Management software programs (Prolog, ProjectMates, Procore, E-builder)Strong keyboarding skillsExcellent listening skills, patience, maturityExpert level understanding of Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with all Microsoft Office applications with excellent understanding of Outlook, Power Point, and WordHighly organizedCapable of shifting priorities and reacting to changing demandsBuilding construction project experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience in the public sector (K-12, City, County, State, Federal)Knowledge of construction terms, phases and key processesDesire to learn and growCost estimating credentialOther Job RequirementsReliable personal transportationComfortable working in Client officesPass background checkMay require work outside normal business hoursWill require travel within metropolitan areas of Texas and potential travel to LANs other offices outside of TexasLockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
