We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. If this is you, we invite you to apply to become a member of our team.Required Education:Appropriate PhDRequired Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Expertise in basic lab techniques including flow cytometry, Western blot and real-time PCR.Preferred Education:PhD in biology or Cancer biologyPreferred Experience:Experience in full-time research or scholarship, not enrolled in a formal academic program, but working under the mentorship of a senior scholar in preparation for an academic and/or research career.Prior experience with cancer biology and molecular biology techniques.Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge in pharmaceutical characterization and evaluations, grant and manuscript writing and strong analytical skills.Expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, mammalian cell culture and rat/mouse in vivo protocols.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform preclinical cancer research and assist in special research projects.Preparation of laboratory for experiments including preparation of products and cleaning work areas.Conduct invitro and invivo work.Conduct literature searches and reviews and continue to update knowledge and develop skills.Maintain accurate and complete records of all findings. Generate and display the results and interpret their implications.Actively participate as a member of a research team and attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
