Job Summary/Purpose

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair factory equipment and other machinery. The Maintenance Technician will install new machinery, break down current machinery for repair, and is responsible for all preventative maintenance.

Essential Duties

• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits through use of multi-meter and schematics
• Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem
• Responsible for PMs all equipment within the factory
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
• Perform tests and run initial batches to make sure the machine is running smoothly
• Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
• Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
• Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
• Move machinery and equipment
• Install new machinery and equipment as needed
• Suggest any process improvements that could increase the longevity of optimal machine function

Working Environment

Protective gear required. Moving machinery, minimal noise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years prior experience as a Maintenance Tech within a manufacturing facility
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and predictable attendance
• Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
