What we want

Under limited direction, the Compliance Investigator II conducts and/or coordinates investigations of alleged civil rights discrimination, sexual harassment and/or related retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, sexual orientation and gender identity. This may include allegations of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Conducts and/or coordinates other types of investigations on an as-needed basis. What you need to know

COVID-19 information: Texas A&M University monitors and updates our recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes to align with local, state and federally mandated health guidelines to keep employees, prospective employees, and visitors as safe as possible. Required Education and Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Four years of experience with leading investigations, conflict resolution, and/or compliance enforcement matters

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+ Ability to evaluate and manage highly sensitive and confidential situations

+ Ability to work with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff and other constituents

+ Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations

+ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

+ Office suite software computer skills

+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

+ Advanced Degree in Higher Education Administration, Law, Human Resources, Counseling or Social Work, Student Affairs, or related field

+ Five years of higher education civil rights investigation and/or management experience

+ Title IX coordinator experience

+ Investigative experience in matters involving sexual or domestic violence; supervision of staff

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Microsoft Office Suite computer skills

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

+ Mediator Certification, ATIXA Training or similar training

Responsibilities:

+ Conducts Investigations - Conducts investigations of alleged civil rights discrimination, sexual harassment, and/or related retaliation in accordance with system regulations and member rules and procedures and writes comprehensive investigation reports.

+ Provides Training - Provides civil rights related training to University Community.

+ Coordinates - Coordinates investigations and training with the Office of General Counsel.

+ Supervision - Supervise and review investigations conducted by Compliance Investigator I. Performs other duties as assigned.
