The Department of Veterinary Large Animal Clinical Sciences,
College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M
University invites applications for a full-time, 11-month
appointment, clinical track faculty (non-tenure) position in
Radiology at the academic rank of clinical assistant professor,
clinical associate professor, or clinical professor, commensurate
with the candidate's experience and credentials.
Although the academic home of faculty members in radiology is
the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, the radiologists
provide diagnostic imaging services for small, large, and exotic
animals in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). These
services encompass small animal ultrasonography, large and small
animal radiology, MRI, computed tomography, and nuclear medicine.
Our on-site Diagnostic Imaging and Cancer Treatment Center houses a
3T Siemens Verio MRI system and 40-slice Siemens CT scanner in a
facility designed to accommodate both small animals and horses.
It is expected that the successful candidate will contribute
primarily to the Patient Care and Teaching missions of the College.
The faculty member is expected to develop and deliver
well-organized, creative lectures and laboratory materials in the
professional curriculum, be effective and innovative in his/her
approach to teaching, and to teach, supervise, and mentor fourth
year students, interns and residents in the VMTH. In Patient Care,
the faculty member will be expected to provide excellent diagnostic
image interpretation, communication, and service in the VMTH and
participate with other faculty members in rotating emergency

. A start date for the position is preferred to be September 1,
Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree. Applicants must
be board certified or have met the requirements to take the board
exam of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the
European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Applicants must
be eligible for Texas veterinary licensure.
