\n\n \nLocation: \nCrown Beverage Packaging, Fort Bend Plant 060,
12910 Jess Pirtle Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77478. \n\n \nPosition
Overview: \nThe Production Planning Coordinator will assist with
all production planning activities for the Sugar Land / Fort Bend
manufacturing operation that is part of the North American Beverage
Division. This individual will assist with the daily activities of
production, inventory, warehousing and distribution for the
finished products being produced at this location. The Production
Planning Coordinator will serve as a liaison with our customers on
matters related to planning. The ideal candidate for this position
must be an advocate for production planning best practices and
standardization at the plant level. \n\n \nDuties And
Responsibilities: \nReporting directly to the Production Planning
Manager, the Production Planning Coordinator’s responsibilities
would include, but not be limited to, the following:
\nAssists/Coordinates in developing Master Schedule requirements
from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data
\nAssists/Coordinates with interacting with production and sales
personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments.
\nAssists/Coordinates with managing volume and manufacturing
location changes between factories as needed to meet customer
requirements \nAssists/Coordinates in monitoring inventories in an
effort to minimize costs and achieve Plant inventory goals
\nAssists/Coordinates in overseeing development and maintenance of
tools that enhance production planning capability for the Division
\nAssists/Coordinates in maintaining accurate needs attention and
obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvement
\nAssists/Coordinates in tracking/analyzing data and producing
required reports \nAssists/Coordinates in updating and maintaining
the planning production system \nInterface with manufacturing
personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and
production planning issues \nCoordinates with the manufacturing
floor to actively manage the production schedule. \nFollows and
audits production orders through the production process to ensure
the proper schedule is followed \nMonitors manufacturing system
transactions for accuracy and works with leaders to correct
discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental causes of the problems
\nCoordinates material delivery with inventory to support
manufacturing schedule. May examine material delivered to
production to verify conformance to specifications \nCompiles
records such as material inventory, in process production reports,
and status and location of materials \nPerforms system transactions
to report movement of material between manufacturing operations and
into finished goods \nMonitors daily progress of manufacturing
orders \nMonitors quality, service, and delivery issues and issues
corrective actions as needed \nPlans and schedules production
orders based on established priorities and the availability of
required materials and capacity. Follows up to determine actual
performance versus estimates. \nAssembles work order packets
complete with work order router, completion dates, and instructions
for subsequent operations. \nMaintain the capacity report so that
it can be used as a tool in the planning and scheduling process
\nMaintain monthly and yearly inventory levels \nMaintain
additional metric reports for Manager \nPerforms other job-related
duties as required or assigned Qualifications: \nIn addition to the
specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will
possess the following: \n\n \nMinimum Requirements \nAssociate’s
degree \n1-3 years of experience in a production
planning/logistics/materials handling role \n\n \nPreferred
Requirements \nBachelor degree in business, logistics management or
a related area preferred \nKnowledge of AS400 \nCertificates in
APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired
\nExperience in manufacturing, operational, and customer driven
environments \nProven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific
emphasis on Excel, Access and Word \nAbility to develop processes,
train end users, and implement projects to completion
\nCompetencies \nDetail oriented \nDemonstrated ability to work
effectively in a team environment as well as working independently
and self-directed \nEffective oral and written communications
\nProficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
required \n\n \nPhysical Requirements \nWhile performing the duties
of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand,
walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to
balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl \nThe associate may lift
