36714We're seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with deep
expertise in PKI and cryptography to lead the strategy,
development, and lifecycle of our Public Trust Certificate
offerings. This role bridges technical depth and customer needs,
driving products that meet the highest security standards while
aligning with market demands. The ideal candidate will have a
software engineering background, hands-on experience with PKI
systems, and a strong understanding of public trust certificate
ecosystems.As our Technical Product Manager, Public Trust &
Certificates, you'll support HID's success by:
- Addressing technical issues related to the web PKI by
understanding, debugging, and resolving them in collaboration with
stakeholders.
- Defining and prioritizing product features, focusing on PKI,
S/MIME, TLS/SSL, and evolving cryptographic standards (e.g.,
post-quantum cryptography).
- Staying updated on industry regulations and standards (e.g.,
CA/B Forum, NIST, FIPS) and ensuring product compliance.
- Documenting and mapping policy requirements with internal
business operations, registration, and certificate platform
processes.
- Collaborating with the engineering and product teams to
translate requirements into stories and technical design documents,
including data/process flow.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting PKI hierarchy and certificate
lifecycle issues in relation to intended design and applicable
compliance standards.
- Monitoring competitive landscape and emerging threats to inform
product strategy.Your Experience and Background include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology,
cybersecurity or related field. Candidates with equivalent
education, plus relevant industry work experience, may also be
considered.
- 5+ years of technical product management experience, ideally in
PKI, cryptography, or related security domains.
- Strong technical background with 3+ years in software
engineering, security, or infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with deploying PKI ecosystems, including
certificate authority software such as EJBCA, CRLs/OCSP, key
management, and digital signatures.
- Familiarity with S/MIME, TLS/SSL, code signing, and public
trust and Federal PKI frameworks.
- Knowledge of emerging cryptographic standards like post-quantum
cryptography is a plus.
- Experience working with compliance frameworks (NIST, FIPS
140-2/3, HIPAA, etc.) and industry bodies (CA/B Forum).
- Proven track record of developing and managing industry
standards.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM is a plus.
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum Agile is a
plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability
to translate complex technical concepts into business value.What we

factors that are considered when making compensation decisions,
including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training,

needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the
applicable geographic differential associated with the location at
which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an
individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their
role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and
circumstances of each case.The base salary in the United States is
$135,000 to $145,000.This opportunity may be open to flexible
