The Academic Affairs Recruiting Office assisted with the creation and posting of this job requisition for the Career Center. What we want The Customer Service Associate II, will provide a high level of customer service to employers, students, and members of the campus community. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment, have excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented, and work well as part of a team. The Customer Service Associate II is responsible for performing advanced customer service support and general clerical duties. Serves as first point of contact for all customer service related activities. Required Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or any combination of education and experience - Three years of experience in general office or clerical work Required Knowledge and Skills: - Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs - Customer service and interpersonal skills - Keyboarding and office equipment skills - Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others Preferred Experience and Experience: - Some college credits - Three years of experience in general office or clerical work to include data entry - Three years experience in general office or clerical work in TAMU system - Some supervisory experience - Experience in customer service position - Experience conducting training - Experience working in a position with invoicing, accounts payable or billing duties Preferred Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Responsibilities: - Opens and closes office on a daily basis in conjunction with student worker staff. Greets all walk in visitors and directs them to appropriate resources. Primary coordinator to facilitate interview processes at remote locations and manages day to day business related to offsite interviews. Explains Career Center policies to both students and employers. Assists with incoming telephone calls and screens calls for appropriate staff referral. Provides high level of customer service to all clients. Evaluates client needs and resolves difficulties whenever necessary. Serves as backup to other Service Team functional areas as needed - Assists with preparation of Campus Interview employer packets for up to 75 interview rooms during peak interview months as needed. Checks in students for interviews and assists with employers during arrival and check in for interview days Assist with training and supervision of student workers involved in the Campus Interview process at remote interview locations. Works with students and employers in all areas of the Campus Interview process to ensure a smooth recruiting process throughout the day. Distributes Employer Evaluations and assesses employers suggestions to streamline the interview check in process - Assists with appointment scheduling as needed for multiple staff members. Helps prepare and format correspondence, forms, and other documents. Participates in out of the office events to distribute Career Center information to students - Prepares and proofs materials for reports and other publications. Operates standard office equipment as well as specialized software. Participates in and/or oversees the distribution of regular mail and bulk mailings. Assembles and distributes materials/packages for office staff and for employer on campus presentations. Serves as back up for receiving, storing & distribution of supplies. May request services such as mail, pickup and delivery, printing and equipment maintenance. - Performs data entry/retrieval functions and maintains data files related to student advising and campus interviewing activity.
