About TVMDL:Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory
(TVMDL) is seeking an anatomic pathologist in College Station.
TVMDL is the full service, state diagnostic laboratory in Texas.
Although TVMDL collaborates closely with the A&M College of
Veterinary Medicine, it is a distinct entity. Many of the employees
are veterinary professionals enhancing sample testing, client
consultation, case collaboration, test development and research
projects. Although focused on diagnostics, there are opportunities
for collaborative research, teaching, and test development. The
pathologists at TVMDL enjoy the use of digital pathology and
dictation technology to read their cases. The laboratory is a new,
state-of-the-art facility and offers many employee perks such as

TVMDL is currently approved for the Veterinary Medicine Loan
Repayment and Public Service Loan Forgiveness programs for
qualified/accepted individuals. Responsibilities:--- Perform
necropsy and histopathologic examinations of animal tissues.an d
carcasses submitted to TVMDL. Preparation of written reports and
communication with clients. All work shall be performed in
accordance with validated test methods, SOPs, procedures, employee
training and proficiency, and equipment standards, as applicable.
Work shall be performed with adherence to federal, state, Texas
A&M University System, and TVMDL safety rules, regulations,
policies and procedures. Ensure adherence and compliance with TVMDL
Quality Assurance Manual and associated quality assurance
procedures. Actively participate in quality assurance and safety
programs, cross training and skill development as applicable. All
work shall be performed in such a way as to not expose others or
myself to hazards that are avoidable by reasonable and approved
methods. Foster laboratory teamwork, cooperation, professional
standards and communications, Provide excellent customer service to
laboratory clients.--- Weekend and holiday rotation with other
pathologists.--- Assist other staff pathologists with problem
cases.--- Miscellaneous assignments including mentoring pathology
residents and veterinary students as needed.--- Coordination of
multiple assigned cases.--- Develop an area of professional
expertise.--- Perform other job related duties as required. Other

others. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. A
