Qualifications To maintain an efficient, safe and pleasant work
environment. To assist the Director, Medical Director and Physicist
in directing all aspects of care provided by the Medical Imaging
Department, including but not limited to; procedures, treatments,
quality improvement, quality control and other related duties.
Furthermore, the Technologist produces two dimensional ultrasonic
recordings of internal organs for use by Physician in diagnosis of
disease and study of malfunction of organs by performing the
following duties. What you will do in this role: Coordinates daily
schedules and workload for IP, OP, IR, STATS, etc. Demonstrates
ability to prioritize ordered procedures effectively to minimize
delays and maximize efficiency. Coordinates patients with multiple
destinations for procedures with other testing areas to minimize
patient delays and reduce travel. Assists scheduling in
coordinating add on procedures, scheduling of biopsies, etc.
Manages procedures assigned on shift and makes every effort to
complete ordered procedures within acceptable timeframes, and
within assigned shift Communicates with team any pertinent patient
information between shifts, between modalities, between other
hospital departments. Understands and interprets orders as
indications for appropriate protocol, seeks clarification when
needed. Verifies orders, and patient identification per policy
prior to start of procedure. Investigates reason for
exam/diagnosis: researches priors images, reports, or other studies
which provide indications for ordered procedures. Obtains pertinent
history from patient and provides information to radiologist.
Prepares areas for procedures prior to patient entering exam rooms.
What qualifications you will need: Minimum Education: Graduate from
an Accredited School of Sonography or Radiologic Technology with
formal or on the job training in Ultrasound. Minimum Experience:
Six months abdominal US experience with credit given to formal
clinical training Required Certification: BLS Required Licensure:
Abdomen ARDMS certification required. Skills: Demonstration of
superior technical and communication skills; self-motivated; able
to work well in stressful situations; the ability to communicate
easily with employees as well as managers, personnel and
