Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of professionals in providing exceptional care at our rehabilitation hospitals. As part of our patient-centered team, you will work closely with physical therapists to implement therapeutic treatment plans designed specifically for each patient. This role is vital in helping patients regain independence and achieve their wellness goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for rehabilitating patients and a commitment to innovative healthcare. Assist physical therapists in the evaluation of patients and the development and implementation of treatment plans. Perform therapeutic interventions as per the physical therapist’s directions and monitor patient responses. Document patient progress and communicate findings to the therapy team. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and in-home exercises. Maintain equipment and ensure treatment areas are clean and organized. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Proficiency in administering physical therapy modalities and techniques under supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle a variety of patient needs and temperaments. Knowledge of healthcare safety, sanitation, and infection control policies. Capability to maintain detailed and accurate records. Efficient in time management and organizing workload. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice. CPR certification required.
