Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammographer Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare organization. This position requires a combination of technical expertise in mammography and a commitment to delivering personalized patient care that aligns with our values of empathy and excellence. Perform mammographic examinations using advanced imaging techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast tissue diseases. Maintain patient safety and comfort during all radiological procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and radiation dose guidelines. Prepare and position patients for imaging tests, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and obtain high-quality outcomes. Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate images and determine the necessity for additional tests. Maintain accurate patient records and manage imaging data in electronic health systems. Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory bodies. Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of mammography equipment. Strong analytical skills to interpret radiographic images and assist in diagnoses. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaborative team relationships. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Additional certification in Mammography (M) is highly desirable.
