Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a leader in Texas healthcare, seeks a
dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to support our
Neuro/General surgical teams in a PRN capacity on day shifts. Our
facility is renowned for a commitment to clinical excellence and
patient-centered care, and we are looking for a professional who
can align with these values. In this role, you will be responsible
for the preparation of the operating room, ensuring all necessary
equipment and supplies are readily available, sterilized, and
functioning properly. This position requires adaptability, keen
attention to detail, and a passion for providing comprehensive
support in various surgical procedures. Prepare surgical operating
suites and ensure all necessary equipment is available and
operational. Assist surgeons and other medical personnel in
carrying out surgical procedures. Ensure strict adherence to
sterile field, preventing microbial exposure during procedures.
Handle and care for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
during and after procedures. Conduct pre-operative and
post-operative counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide superior
patient care. Proficiency in operating and maintaining surgical
equipment Strong understanding of sterile and aseptic techniques
Ability to respond quickly and accurately in a dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capability to
perform under stress during emergent and complex surgical
procedures Medical Insurance Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
required as per National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical
Assisting (NBSTSA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required.
