Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a leader in the Texas healthcare community, is
seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our Southwest
Hospital's day shift team. In this role, you will be crucial in
providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services and upholding
our mission to improve health and achieve clinical excellence. You
will operate computed tomography (CT) machines to produce
cross-sectional images of patients bones, organs, and tissue, which
are used to diagnose medical conditions. Join us in an environment

Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images,
following physician orders and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining procedures and addressing
concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation. Analyze images
for quality and coverage of the prescribed area, consulting with
radiologists to determine if additional images are required.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures,
medications, and transactions. Implement radiation protection and
safety standards to minimize exposure to patients, colleagues, and
self. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to optimize
patient care across departments. Regularly inspect and perform
routine daily maintenance of CT equipment, reporting any
malfunctions or inconsistencies. Proficiency in operating and
maintaining complex medical imaging equipment, specifically CT
scanners. Strong understanding of radiological safety and
protection principles. Ability to work sensitively and effectively
with patients of all ages and health conditions. Excellent
communication skills to explain procedures and findings clearly to
both patients and healthcare staff. Critical thinking skills
necessary for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Medical

Valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT) certification is required. State licensure as a Certified
Medical Radiologic Technologist (CRT). Certification in CT
technology by the ARRT is preferred.
