Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in College Station, Texas, 77845!
Pay Information $1,942 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: One year of ICU
experience preferred Description: Candidates will float between two
campuses as needed. Candidates may not have been directly employed
by facilities associated with the health system within the past
year. Candidates who were employed through outside firms will be
considered. RN must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam before signing
the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass. Call outs
are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. May be
asked to precept as needed by the unit. The unit typically has a
bed count of 12, with a typical census of 6-8 patients. The nurse
to patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU and 1:4 in the PCU. All common
critical care drips are utilized. A charge nurse is present on each
shift and takes patients as well. Hospitalists are available 24/7.
An intensivist is on-site Monday through Thursday, with
tele-intensivists available on weekends. Respiratory therapy is
available in the ICU 24/7. Nurses will be required to troubleshoot
equipment like vents, BiPAP, and CPAP. Nurses must be able to
interpret telemetry strips. Block scheduling is preferred for the
night shift. There is an expectation to work four weekend shifts
per month. Candidates should be prepared to meet the needs of the
unit during holidays. There may be a call requirement for low
census, but every effort will be made to ensure travelers receive
their hours. Scrub color is navy, and undershirts must be navy as
well. Optional scrub jackets may be worn, but they must also be
navy. The scheduling is typically done four weeks in advance. The
team is known for being supportive and family-oriented. The
facility has had travelers sign on permanently in the past.

Cancellation Policy: The facility can cancel up to four shifts per
