The Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care to population-specific patients on the Acute Inpatient Units to include, Acute Care Medicine, Acute Care Telemetry, Acute Care Cardiac, Acute Care Cardiopulmonary, Chest Pain, Neuroscience, Neuro-Stroke, Neuro Spine, Observation, Ortho Surgical Trauma, Post-Surgical. Follows the Board of Nursing’s (BON) Standards of Nursing Practice utilizing the nursing process in care delivery. Maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions within the parameters of their legal scope of practice and in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws; and policies, procedures and guidelines of Gulf Coast Division (GCD). Responsible for delivery of professional nursing care for assigned patients, performs nursing assessments/ care plan/ implementation of treatment/ evaluation of treatment/ and discharge planning. Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary services. Responsible for delegation within scope of practice to provide safe and effective care to patient population. Minimum 1 year of RN experience ??Required? Current Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted. Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
