system.About The Department of Population HealthThe Department of
Population Health includes a wide range of MD and PhD faculty
representing an array of specialties and disciplines who are
involved in interdisciplinary research impacting health in
community and clinical settings. The department also houses the
Global Health division, the longitudinal primary care and family
medicine clerkship and a family medicine residency program and
sports medicine fellowship.About The Established Investigator
Population Health PositionThe Department of Population Health at
Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin seeks
applications from mid to senior level MD or PhD investigators at
associate or full professor level who are eligible for a tenured
position. Candidates should have a record of extramurally funded
NIH research and will help establish Dell Med as a leader in
research discovery, translation and implementation through their
research contributions. Approaches of particular interest include
health services, biomedical informatics, implementation science,
CBPR, clinical or public health research that drives innovation
through development, translation and scaling of interventions and
technologies to improve health outcomes or promote prevention and
wellness. Areas of interest include, but are not limited, to
application of novel digital health tools, innovative data science
approaches, and health care delivery approaches for health and
wellness, cancer screening and prevention, environment and health,
and chronic disease prevention and management. This position also
offers an attractive leadership opportunity as the Associate Chair
for Research (ACR) in the department for applicants with a
collaborative research background and a record of mentoring and
training. The ACR oversees the full spectrum of research activities
within the Department to shape the overall objectives and execution
of Dell Med's research strategy within the context of departmental
needs and goals. Including leadership and strategy, resource
management and operations, funding and grant management and faculty
mentoring and guidance. The person in this role works closely with
the department Chair and Vice Dean for Research in bidirectional
communication of research needs and strategy. Live in Austin a
