The Opportunity
The Senior Project Manager for EPC Complex Power
Generationwillfunction in a senior-level project manager capacity.
You will own large EPC projects encompassing combined cycle, simple
cycle, and plant expansion. There is potential to own projects in
multiple areas sustainable generation. In this role, you will have
the opportunity to:
Provide technical support for client projects with design review
services, design engineering services, and development engineering
support.
Support client projects with feasibility studies, energy production
estimates, and cost estimates, and testing & commissioning.
Provide proposal support for client projects with technical
specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation
support.
Oversee EPC contractors for client projects.
Please note: This role has 25% to 50% travel to project and client
sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 2 days per
week remote, 3 days per week in-office out of any Black and Veatch
office in the Central US. We are open to assisting with relocation
if needed!

The Team
Our Sustainable Generation solutions serve our clients to provide
study level to full-scale EPC execution for sustainable power
generation solutions such as Hydroelectric, Hydrogen and Natural
Gas, Bio and Waste, Nuclear, and other thermal technologies. As a
Project Manager you are the execution hub for our clients and
project teams, providing leadership and alignment for successful
sustainable generation projects. Our Energy & Process business is
driven to meet clients' rapidly changing sustainability needs in
generation, storage, transmission, and distribution of safe,
reliable electric power. Our business continues to invest in
renewable energy to power the future and support BV's vision of

Key Responsibilities
Actively promotes the safety culture.
Oversees planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of
all EPC projects and their associated work orders (WO).
Participate in all integrated planning sessions associated with
WOs.
Works with Discipline Engineers and Construction Managers to
identify and resolve problems or issues related to design
information, schedule, material deliveries, change management,
safety, and quality.
Manages escalated problems or issues.
Supports commercial recovery process and close-out.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of
a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by
project.
Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with advanced generation EPC projects.
EPC Project Management experience.
Ideally experience with simple cycle, combined cycle, and plant
expansion EPC project management from design through
construction.
Bachelor's in Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Typical office environment, typical construction environment,
extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards
(electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places,
exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors,
dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking,
hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching,
stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of
time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
