Job Description:
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for creating
and maintaining all the general ledger accounts and financial
statements. This role will be integral for the entire Elevated Life
Brands organization from paying bills, depositing checks, and
posting journal entries, all the way to reviewing and analyzing
financial statements. In your position, you will also help with
filing taxes, and other miscellaneous projects related to
accounting functions. To be successful in this role, it will be
expected to not only complete assigned tasks timely and correctly,
but also to take initiative to continually improve the accounting
department operations and the financial position of the
company.
Your role:
Perform month-end procedures.
Maintain accurate and complete financial statements.
Monitor cash levels.
Assist with budgeting, payroll, and credit card administration.
Complete recurring reporting tasks (internal, government, auditors,
lenders, etc.).
Coordinate and prepare information to tax preparers.
Work with department heads and managers on cross-department
tasks.
Manage the company's money as if its your own-you must have strong
ethics.
Contribute to high level strategy conversations with senior
leadership.
Qualities were looking for:
Highly dependable and ability to learn quickly.
EXTREMELY ORGANIZED-you have an eye for the details.
Very strong technical accounting skills (you know your debits and
credits).
Well-versed in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with a multi-entity organization.
Experience using an accounting software (NetSuite would be a
plus).
Great verbal and written communication skills you will be
responsible for keeping in contact and maintaining vendor
communications.
Ability to work with others well-you will communicate with almost
everyone in the company at one point or another.
Problem-solver-you utilize your resources and problem-solve before
bringing up issues.
Good work ethic.
A team player.
Qualifications we are looking for:
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
2-5 years relevant work experience
