CSE invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate, and full professor levels. Candidates are being sought in the areas of theory, systems, software, human-centered computing, data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, and computer science education. Exceptional candidates in other areas are also welcome to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, develop an independent, externally funded research program, advise graduate students, participate in all aspects of the department's mission, and serve the profession. Applicants must have earned a doctorate in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related field. Applications received after that date may be considered until positions are filled. It is anticipated the appointment will begin fall 2019. Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M is currently one of 14 departments in the College of Engineering. Many of the 48 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 11 teaching-focused faculty holds a number of national distinctions, including ACM, IEEE, AAAS, and SIAM Fellows, and ACM Distinguished Scientists and Engineers. The department has a strong and vibrant research program with half the faculty having received NSF CAREER/NYI/PYI awards. Our student population is comprised of nearly 1,100 undergraduate students (sophomore to senior level) and over 400 graduate students.
