As a Principal Manufacturing Process Monitoring Engineer supporting the Manufacturing, Technical and Engineering Team at our Manufacturing facility in Houston, TX, a typical day will include: Design, implement, and maintain process monitoring and control systems based on an Ignition platform using both automated machine and process data. Monitor and analyze process data from a variety of sources with SPC tools to identify areas for improvement and to troubleshoot and escalate OOT control issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. Develop and document monitoring and control best practices and operating procedures for the site. Experience with process optimization and Industrial Automation Control Systems, especially Ignition. Lead projects within manufacturing production process engineering to drive productivity and meet departmental objectives. Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes, including creating efficient equipment layouts, designing production operation sequences, and specifying procedures for fabricating tools and adapting machinery to factory conditions. Conduct tests throughout production stages to monitor variables, resolve production problems, and ensure processes comply with regulations. Guide product design engineering on technical specifications to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Provide expert technical support, training, and service to optimize production processes and support team performance. Demonstrate advanced project management, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to enhance operational efficiency. Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training. Drive continuous improvement and maintain regulatory compliance in all operations.
