ROLE SNAPSHOT We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Level II or III) based in Austin, TX. In this role, you'll be dispatched from your home to commercial sites across Austin and the surrounding region, including occasional travel to nearby cities such as San Antonio. You'll troubleshoot and service a variety of commercial HVAC systems while enjoying the freedom of working independently with full support from our team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Responding to scheduled and emergency service calls for commercial and industrial HVAC systems - Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and diagnostics - Troubleshooting and repairing systems such as: - Split systems - Rooftop packaged units - Chillers - Ancillary systems (pumps, cooling towers, etc.) - Performing start-up, commissioning, and system modifications - Accurately documenting all work performed - Providing excellent customer service and communication - Maintaining company safety standards while on-site MUST HAVES - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent - Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience - EPA Certification - Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and Microsoft Office - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to work independently and be on-call as needed - Willingness to travel within the region, including occasional jobs outside of Austin - Chiller experience is a plus WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU - Competitive hourly pay: $28-$35/hour, based on experience - Company-provided vehicle for work-related travel - Dispatched from home (primarily) - no daily office reporting - Overtime opportunities - Tools, uniforms, and PPE provided - Comprehensive benefits package, including: - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off (PTO) - 401(k) with company match PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a hands-on field position that requires: - Lifting up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs frequently (equipment up to 50 lbs) - Climbing ladders (350 lb weight limit) and accessing rooftops up to 50 feet - Working in confined spaces (as small as 30" vertical x 45" horizontal) - Standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods (up to 4 hours) - Regular twisting, bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching - Using personal protective equipment (helmets, goggles, harnesses, safety boots) - Working in variable outdoor and mechanical environments, including noise, weather, and electrical systems
