Routinely research, design, and recommend enterprise-level strategy. Routinely provide technical leadership and guidance for the design and deployment of new enterprise-wide technologies. Serve on enterprise level committees to develop technical standards and direction. Provide technical oversight for the mentoring, training, and development of other employees in the same area of technical specialization.         • Degree in information technology field

            • MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, BGP. Great communication, documentation, and leadership skills. Ability to work in a high stress environment
            • Strategic thinking, research, and planning to include: creativity/innovation, design theory, advanced systems theory, project portfolio management, strategic change management, risk management, strategic disaster recovery & business continuity, ROI analysis, integrating solutions, leveraging strategic resources, strategic partnering, conflict management, advanced change management
            • Skilled at developing discipline specific expertise in others, enterprise-level policies, and advanced technology research and design skills
            • Strategic industry related skills to include, in-depth knowledge of the global IT industry and trends, advanced knowledge of IT security regulations, and advanced knowledge of current and emerging IT industry issues and trendsResponsibilities:
              • Strategic Research and Planning - Lead the strategic and long-term analysis on specific and specialized technology and organization needs. Develop alternate project plans, problem resolutions, and budget projections based on enterprise stakeholder needs and makes recommendations. Establish strategic quantity standards, procedures, and guidelines for design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise solutions. Contribute to the planning of the overall organizational IT strategy.
                • Problem Change Management - Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues. Recommend process, product, or service improvements. Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the enterprise's IT services and products. Review and approve changes requested by the engineers.
                  • Personnel Management and Leadership - Recruit, hire, and supervise a variety of technical, support, and/or management staff. Enforce ethical, regulatory, and performance standards. May oversee and manage personnel issues. Provide technical oversight for the mentoring, training, and development of other employees in the same area of technical specialization. Hold weekly meetings with the engineers to review projects.
                    • Research and Planning Project Management - Participate as a top-level technical expert in leading multiple consulting projects or a single large/complex project and ensure the success of enterprise-level application roll-outs. In collaboration with the Project Management Office, oversee the use established project management protocols. Direct the analysis of project needs and risks, and recommend solutions. Oversee the development project or area budgets. Oversee the tracking expenditures and revenues. Prioritize, schedule and direct the activities of a large or multiple strategic project team/s. Direct the development of strategic project or task plans, resource estimates, and schedules. Oversee the coordination of activities with the management of other organizational units and vendors. Oversee the preparation of project documentation and reports for clients and/or management. Oversee and coordinate the evaluation, selection, and purchase of strategic computing resources and/or consulting services. Direct the selection, prioritization, and review of research projects to achieve organizational strategy. Develop new solutions for complex projects. Work with Project Control on designs. Assign engineers to projects for implementation. Attend constructions meetings. Review blueprints. Make recommendations on technology.
                      • Strategic Collaboration and Partnerships - Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to coordinate the development of specifications based. Maintain, establish, and develop new strategic partnerships with executive management, stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Serve as a strategic technical resource for other technical teams or organizations. Serve as a chair or senior member of an information resource team responsible for setting technical standards and strategic direction. Participate in industry/knowledge reference groups. Meet vendors to review technology roadmaps. Work with vendors on demos or labs to test new technology.
                        • Documentation - Supervise the development of standard operating procedures for strategic research teams. Oversee the approval and coordination of documentation provided to executive management, customers, stakeholders, and vendors. Work with Project Control on Division 27 standards. Work with the engineers on documentation for SoP's. Work with leadership on DR plans.
                          • Professional Development - Participate in training and professional development sessions.
