Job Title Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor in Shakespeare or Early Modern Studies Agency Texas A&M University Department English Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor in Shakespeare or Early Modern Studies with an emphasis in Bibliography, to become editor of the World Shakespeare Bibliography digital resource The Department of English at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the advanced assistant professor or associate professor rank in Shakespeare or Early Modern Studies to begin in the Fall of 2019. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in English or a relevant field and a substantial scholarly record in Early Modern Studies, and/or enumerative and/or annotated bibliography, and a proven record of accomplishment of managing large-scale digital projects. The successful candidate will become the editor of the World Shakespeare Bibliography (WSB) and lead the editorial team of this award-winning digital resource. The WSB works in close partnership with the Folger Shakespeare Library and the Folger Institute, of which Texas A&M is a Consortium Member; the WSB is currently published by the Folger Library in association with the Johns Hopkins University Press. The WSB also has strong ties with A&M?s Center of Digital Humanities Research. The successful candidate will teach a 2/2 load, including undergraduate and graduate courses in Shakespeare as well as a range of courses, such as early modern literature, bibliography, and Digital Humanities.
