Job Description Job Description Staff AccountantPosition Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing full-cycle general accounting support for a multi-entity manufacturing and wholesale distribution organization. This role emphasizes balance sheet reconciliations, inventory accounting, intercompany transactions, and financial statement analysis. The Staff Accountant partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and support sound business decision-making. Essential Duties / Responsibilities · Perform full-cycle general accounting activities across multiple legal entities and operating locations. · Prepare and own monthly balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation and variance explanations. · Prepare, review, and post journal entries including accruals, allocations, inventory adjustments, and reclassifications. · Support the month-end close process, including financial statements and variance analysis. · Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to analyze inventory movements, COGS, freight, and operational drivers. · Support inventory accounting including cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance resolution. · Assist with intercompany accounting including reconciliations and eliminations. · Review work performed by internal teams and shared service or offshore resources for accuracy and compliance. · Maintain schedules for prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and reserves. · Develop Excel-based schedules and ad hoc financial reports. · Support audit, tax, and compliance activities. · Participate in process improvement initiatives and documentation efforts. · Perform other accounting and analytical duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university. · Minimum of three years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience. · Experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution environments preferred. · Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting is a plus. · ERP experience required (SAP, Infor M3, or similar systems preferred). · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. · Strong understanding of balance sheet and accrual accounting. · Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. · Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
