Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate accounting, maintaining internal controls, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities: • Oversee monthly and quarterly accounting activities across multiple entities and pay groups. • Conduct and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Analyze payroll expenses, including salaries, wages, taxes, and benefits, and prepare forecasts. • Ensure proper general ledger coding in systems aligns with company policies. • Participate in projects aimed at enhancing accounting processes and systems. • Collaborate with departments such as HR, Operations, Finance, Tax, and Legal to resolve inquiries and support initiatives. • Identify and implement best practices to improve processes, accuracy, and reduce errors. • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. • Prepare necessary documentation to support internal and external audits. • Provide management with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, particularly in payroll and general ledger. • Proficiency in month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. • Skilled in bank reconciliations and general ledger systems. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with annual external audits and compliance processes.
