And our site is nestled in the hub of innovation, representing a source of pride for the area.Summary:-- The Accountant I will provide support in the accounting department through processing and reconciling a wide variety of accounting documents.-- Work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting terminology and using spreadsheets and/or automated accounting systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Process all phases of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
  • Ensure proper GL coding.
  • Assist with the processing and reconciling of accounting documents including, but not limited to, invoices, vendor statements, billing statements, and journal entries.
  • Review and code financial information for accuracy.
  • Track expenses, customer accounts, and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments and generate periodic billing statements and customer invoices.
  • Post transactions and payments received to journals, ledgers, and other records.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and revenue transactions
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve invoice and/or billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Prepare memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Assist with month end closing.
  • All other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities:

        • Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field with one (1) year of relevant experience; OR
        • Associates degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field with two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
        • High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications:
          • Prior experience with SAP
