Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Executive Pastry Chef to join our team. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and managing all aspects of our pastry program for a multi-unit establishment, including menu development, ingredient sourcing, production, and presentation for a high volume bakery. Main production bakery is located in central Austin.Responsibilities:- Develop and manage all aspects of our pastry program, including menu development, ingredient sourcing, production, and presentation- Create and execute a variety of pastry items, including breads, pastries, and desserts, with a focus on both taste and presentation-Create and execute a variety of elevated grab-and-go items, with a focus on both taste and presentation- Ensure that all pastry items are of the highest quality and consistency- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs and assistants to ensure that all pastry items are produced efficiently and to the highest standards- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients are used in our pastry program- Manage inventory and ordering of all pastry-related ingredients and supplies- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the pastry kitchen and equipmentRequirements:- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role- Strong knowledge of pastry arts and techniques- Excellent leadership and management skills- Ability to create and execute a variety of pastry items with a focus on both taste and presentation- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to manage inventory and ordering of all pastry-related ingredients and supplies- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysIf you're passionate about pastry arts and have the skills and experience we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you!
